When #Gift2Giving donation campaign came out a few of our team members at the Paddock Lake location (Jeanne Vanderwerff, Cheryl Vanderwerff, Kelly Huston, Robert Pieroni, Savanah Bawden, and myself) thought about who we wanted to give our donation to. We had many choices to choose from but one stuck out above the rest. CSB VP and Business Banker, Robert Pieroni had told us about the Women and Children’s Horizons and how they advocate for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence/abuse. It was sad how this kind of abuse had touched each and every one of us through friends, family, or acquaintances. The mission of Women and Children’s Horizon is to provide support, shelter, education, training, and healing services to victims of sexual and domestic abuse, their families and the community. They have a several locations between the City of Kenosha and Western Kenosha County. Our focus was to help the Western Kenosha County location because they are in our community supporting our families, friends and customers. The Women and Children’s Horizons has been around since 1976 and has helped so many women, children, and families. Thank you so much for being a part of our communities and helping so many in need. #Gift2Giving “I was introduced to Women and Children’s Horizons in 2005, I was amazed to learn all of the programs and services the organization offers. At that time, I wanted to do more for the organization, so I joined their Finance Committee and eventually became a Board Member. It’s amazing how many lives WCH touches each and every day. As a county resident, I am thrilled to have them in Western Kenosha County serving our community. I couldn’t think of a better organization to give my gift to!” Robert Pieroni (CSB-VP/Business Banking Officer) “I’ve known people in abusive relationships. It not only affects them but everyone close to them. It is a horrible situation no one should be in, and so I’m very happy to be donating to Women and Children’s Horizon.” Cheryl Vanderwerff (CSB-Universal Banker II) “Domestic abuse can affect anyone. Women and Children’s Horizons is an excellent resource in our community. Therefore, I chose to donate to them.” Jeanne Vanderwerff (CSB-Universal Banker III) “The assistance that Women and Children’s Horizons offers to individuals at their most critical times is truly incredible. This is one of many reasons I chose to donate to them.” Kelly Huston (CSB- Market President) “I chose to join my coworkers in donating to Women and Children’s Horizons because the goal of that organization hits close to home. I’ve had both family and friends that relied on initiatives like this year after year, so being able to help fund it, even if only a tiny amount, makes me feel like I’ve given back to those I love.” Savanah Bawden (CSB-Universal Banker II) “I had a friend that used a shelter/program like this several years ago. I noticed how this had helped her both financially and mentally. When Robert had mentioned the Women and Children’s Horizons and what they had to offer I knew I had to give my donation to them. Thank you for being a part of our community!” Jayne Ojala (CSB-Retail Manager) ![]() (Pictured from left to right) Jeanne Vanderwerff, Universal Banker; Kelly Huston, VP & Market President; Jayne Ojala, Retail Manager; Marilyn Zupkoff, Women and Children’s Horizons Victim Advocate; Diana Newton, Women and Children’s Horizons Executive Director; Lori Hanson, Women and Children’s Horizons Marketing and Development Manager; Cheryl Vanderwerff, Universal Banker; Robert Pieroni, VP & Business Banking Officer.
