Pictured: Assistant Shelter Operations Manager, Julie Anders, introduces “Cranberry” to Greg Wall, Community State Bank, on his recent visit to the Wisconsin Humane Society’s Racine Campus. Cranberry had been a stray that was brought to the shelter just before Thanksgiving. She recently found a foster home, thanks to the dedicated team at the WHS.
Journal Entry: Greg Wall, Chief Innovation Officer Additional Contributing Employee(s): Greg Wall, Chief Innovation Officer; Michelle Ramos, Universal Banker Growing up my first three pets were all from a local humane society. Over the years that included two cats, and dog with endless energy named “Misty”. All three of these animals were a big part of our family growing up.
As happens with our furry friends, over time they depart. Even if that happens at a ripe old age, it’s often long before we’re ready to say goodbye… We have to remember that the best thing we could ever do for them is to provide a safe, caring environment where they receive all the attention and love they need. A place that feels like, and is, home.
The Wisconsin Humane Society has been saving the lives of animals in need for nearly 140 years. They provide care and shelter for animals in need; education for pet owners, and maintain a mission of building communities where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness.
I decided to donate my #Gift2Giving funds to the Wisconsin Humane society, to support their mission and so that more animals, and local families can be connected. Thank you to my fellow CSB team member Michelle Ramos for contributing her #Gift2Giving donation to the WHS as well.
